Based on March 1, 2006 Order of President of Georgia the validity period of the former Soviet Union passports has expired on July 15, 2006. Those pensioners who took the Georgian ID document after the pension assignment but have not registered in united pension database under Georgian ID number musts submit Georgian IDs/passports to the relevant branch of State United Social Insurance Fund of Georgia in order to avoid problems during identification of beneficiaries and accordingly avoid the misappropriation of state funds through the so called “duplicated pensions”.
Detection of ID numbers in pensioners' automated database will give the fund the opportunity to reduce the amount of costs spent on the beneficiaries excluded from pension system to minimum and curb the pension duplication attempts more effectively. The State United Social Insurance Fund of Georgia and Civil Registry will conclude an agreement which will determine the liabilities of both sides. The Agency of Civil Registry undertakes the responsibility to provide the SUSIF with up-to-date information concerning pensioners and demised people registered in the Civil Registry's database by the 10th of each month, and in turn the fund undertakes the responsibility to inform the registry about probable incorrectness, illogical and suspicious records, and other technical flaws found in the data provided by the Registry's Agency. |
